These popular Pregnancy Yoga classes are held on a Thursday at 7pm throughout the year.
“I can not recommend Jo’s pregnancy yoga class enough! I started when I was 20 weeks with my twins and continued till I was a massive 35 weeks. Jo would always listen to the class, how they were feeling that week, where they needed work and tailor make the class around her mums giving them helpful tips and exercises for particular ailments. There is a lot of focus on relaxation and breathing and making the room a place for mum to really unwind. Every single pregnancy and birth is as unique as the babies that are born, and every woman has different needs; that’s why I provide bespoke classes that are inspired by the women in the room, picking Pregnancy Yoga moves to suit your needs and body.
The classes typically focus on gentle stretching, breathing techniques as well as movements that are designed to keep you strong and relaxed. They are laid back and fun and there is always time to chat and make friends too. Don’t worry if you have never done yoga before, as the classes are suitable for all abilities.
I have worked with over 150 pregnant women in Newcastle upon Tyne, supporting them through their pregnancy and beyond. It makes me so happy to see the difference that yoga can make to their confidence, physical comfort and general well being. I would love to be able to share Pregnancy Yoga with you too.
Happy Yoga Newcastle Pregnancy Yoga Classes offer a supportive and non judgemental environment, where pregnant women can get together and enjoy learning Yoga that can help them to relax, build strength and stamina for labour, release oxytocin (the birth hormone) and alleviate common pregnancy ailments.
Classes are £11 Drop in, or you can buy a 5 class pass for £50, you have year from the purchase date to use class passes, and you can use the pass on postnatal classes too.
We are easily accesible by public transport but also have plenty of parking just outside which is free after 6.30pm (Manors Car park is a 30 second walk away and that is free after 5pm).
