The Warrior Poses in Yoga help to teach strength, stamina, patience and flexibility.

Though they build a strong foundation in the legs, it is also important to use the abdominal and pelvic floor muscles to create a deep connection in the posture. They open the chest and strengthen the arms, back and neck.

You cannot force the warrior poses, instead you have to practise them often with patience and humour.

These poses are fantastic for building stamina and flexibilty in the hips for labour, but don’t practice them if you suffer from Pelvic Pain.
